Satellite database editors are commercially available from different providers. Please use the Internet search engines to locate a version that you like.

What do I do if my Smart card does not seem to work anymore?
For pay-services, please only use Common Interface (CI) modules and the related smart cards, which are approved by the service provider of the encrypted program you want to receive. Only this will enable the receiver to work properly.

How can I record MP3 songs onto my receiver?
You cannot record MP3 songs onto the hard disk directly. However you can download MP3 songs from a PC onto the hard disk of your receiver. For these receivers EchoStar provides a so-called USB loader, free of charge. At the software download pages a link called utilities is present. This link brings you directly to the Utilities page from where you can download the USB Loader.

How can I put photos onto my satellite receiver?
You cannot put photos onto the hard disk directly. However you can download photos from a PC onto the hard disk of your receiver. A possibility to add personal backgrounds is available from the DVR-mode (DVR-5000 and DVR-7000 series). During playback of a recording you can capture personal backgrounds from that recording with the use of the 'capture background' feature. You can access this feature in the special menu of the DVR-Info Banner. For detailed instructions, please refer to the User Manual, Section 5.
